I’m currently obsessed with this song, after rehearing it covered by Melanie Martinez live on “The Voice”. It’s a pretty depressing song but it’s very fitting for this time that I’m spending away from school.

I’m also obsessed with long sweaters, like this fringed beauty I found at Crossroads. Cropped jackets don't work that well for my silhouette.

Weather's been a bit volatile these past few days. It was rather warm yesterday but it got cold today real fast. Cropped sweaters are the perfect transition from hot to cold, as they keep you just warm enough without being stifling. 

My life's been pretty uneventful; explains why I chose to talk about the weather because there really isn't much else to talk about.

CHESTNUT FARM

Went to a chestnut farm today. Well, it was really an apple orchard with about ten chestnut trees off to the side. I didn't realize that the chestnuts I eat every fall are actually pods inside a spiky outer shell. I stupidly touched one of these spiky balls and jumped back because they were sharper than I was expecting. You have to crack these shells open with your shoes and then pick out the yummy chestnuts from inside. I don't have any of my running shoes at home in SoCal so I pulled out my old chucks from jr. high (yes, they still fit...). I'm surprised they're still in decent condition, my brother wore these after I stopped wearing them in high school and they haven't fallen apart yet. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

FEW DAYS AT HOME

Camera-less for the weekend, but I thought I'd put up some tidbits of what life has been like for the past few days via my phone. As you can see, nothing has happened besides my longer than necessary travel back home to SoCal (I missed my flight by about 10 minutes and had to wait a few hours in the airport for the next flight) and my cat following me around everywhere.
